Does your dad have much facial hair? Are you Native American (North or South) or of some other descent where the men typically don't grow much facial hair? If you want to grow more, you could try testosterone enhancing herbal supplements such as Axis HT from BSN.

If you work out on the weight bench and get big muscles, no one will notice your lack of facial hair. My brother is the same way, he is forty now and never really had to shave.

Some men just never really grow facial hair. I'm 24 and I barely have any hair on my face, while my dad has a 5 o'clock shadow about an hour after shaving....

Just be thankful that you don't have to shave everyday.

It could be just genetics. I grow facial hair, but I can't grow a full beard. It is smooth in a few areas on my face. My boyfriend is the exact same way. Check into your genetics and see if anybody in your family didn't grow facial hair like you are having problems with yours. You could also be going through puberty still too. Some guys don't finish going through puberty till later in life.

Some men never relay start growing a beard until they are in their early thirties which was my case.I now have a heavy beard and wear it long. In many cases a 'late bloomer' has a sparse beard for a lifetime. Never, but never think you are less of a man because of your sparse facial hair!

It's either a matter of genetics (how much facial hair do the men in your family have?) or low testosterone output. You might have your doctor refer you to an endocrinologist (hormone specialist) for an evaluation.
